The family situation has been reported as an important barrier to proper care of intants living with HIV in Thailand. Two years after birth, three times more women were shown to be living alone, as compared to the time of delivery;30% of families had died. Most children (78%) were identified among women living with HIV, particularly with regard to their children's health and family's future.
