agent was fixed as the air and the inlet temperature of the air
was maintained at 20 C. The tire sample of Katek Agaoglu with a
particle size of 0.6–1.0 mm was gasified. The quartz sand having
a SiO2 content of 99.2% was used as a bed material. The quartz sand
was supplied from a Turkish producer. The volume of the bed was
800 ml. The gasification temperature was maintained in the range
of 710–805 C. The tire feeding rate was 0.825 kg/h. Gasification
experiments were conducted at four different bed material particle
sizes: Avg. 450, 500–800, 250–315 and 140–250 lm. A total of 14
tests were performed in the ER range of 0.15–0.45.
