The design of experiments (DOE) methodology is an interesting
statistic tool that permits us to analyze the effect of independent
variables and their interactions over a response factor using a low
number of experiments,26 allowing us to conclude which of them
are important to describe the process. Factorial designs are most
commonly used when the aim is to analyze the influence of the
variables on a process leading to a reduced empirical model relating
the response factor with the most influential independent parameters
and their combinations, which will make easier a further optimization
approach of the process
