Clothiny
1 have referred to body contact through the
intervention of clothes. Drs. 0. C. Irwin and
L. Weiss30 found that infants who were
clothed were significantly less active than
those who were unclothed. Dr. A. C. Aldrich31
found that the more nursing time there was
available for newborn babies in hospital the
less they cried, and that wrapping in a light
blanket helped to reduce crying time.
