The proposed method of sample preparation for the determination of organochlorine pesticides by gas chromatography in aquatic organisms is relevant in today's monitoring of trace concentrations of OCP (α-, β-and γ-isomers of HCH, DDT and itsmetabolites) in connection with the prohibition of the use of these substances by the Stockholm Convention. This method is also relevant due to the significant half-life of organochlorine pesticides, which requires continuous monitoring of organic pollution. In addition, this method
