Shannon entropy has been used for determining quantitative
proportion of past research in supporting each of the
dimensions and factors. As shown in the table1, the inter-
organizational relationship management was most important
factor that mentioned in the IOS literature while the
stakeholder factor has been determined with the minimum
contribution in IOS development. Other influencing factors
in developing inter-organizational information systems
respectively were: the need for human resources, realizing
strategic advantages due to using these systems, considering
the micro environmental factors, system integration,
managing the developed systems between organizations,
considering the technological and financial requirements
before implementing these systems, realizing operational
and managerial advantages due to using these systems,
systems security and finally considering macro
environmental factors.
