“Plastic clays and gypsum marls” (class 7) were the most valued in the lithology layer because of having the best physical properties for industrial activities (low permeability, high slopes stability and high ease of excavation). Regarding crop types layer, “land irrigation and fruit trees” were all assigned the highest values for their ecological and economic interests. The vegetation cover factor, “hardwoods, conifers and other forest strata” (classes 1 and 2) were assigned the highest value for their protected natural character, for maintaining terrain stability and reducing surface hydric erosion.
