anionicdyes,wasstudiedinbatchmodeundervariouspara-
meters. TheclayswerecharacterizedbymeansofXRD,cationic
exchangecapacityandBETsurfaceareaanalysis.Theexperimental
results showthat,theadsorptionwaspHdependentwithahigh
adsorptioncapacityofMBandMGinbasicrangeandhigh
adsorptionofMOinacidicrange.Thepseudo-second-orderkinetic
model providedthebest fit totheexperimentaldataforthe
adsorptionofMBandMGbytheclays.However,theadsorptionof
MO wasmoresuitabletobecontrolledbyanintra-particle
diffusionmechanism.Theequilibriumadsorptiondatawere
analyzed byLangmuir,FreundlichandDubinin–Radushkevich
isotherm models.Theadsorptionprocesswasfoundtobe
