Any article found within the hotel will be deposited with the Housekeeping Department
on the day it was found. Clerk will record articles in the Lost Property Book will require:
- Date found
- Location found
- Description of article
- Finder's name and department
2. As well as recording details in the Lost Property Book, Housekeeping Clerk will also fill out a "Lost & Found" slip in order to label the goods.
3. An attempt will be made to contact the owner if the article was found in a guestroom. Check Front Office records for guest contact details. (If owner is contacted, fill out remainder of Lost & Found slips - owner’s name and contact number - and determines method of returning to the guest).
4. Any articles found during hours that the Housekeeping Clerk is closed shall be lodged with the Front Office Duty Manager.
