though the former gave higher levels of anthocyanins for all the assayed germplasm. By the HPLC method, the anthocyanin concentration ranged from 198 lg/ml in unaerated tea for clone TRFK 6/8 to 1193.4 lg/ml in unaerated tea for clone TRFK 306/3.
