Openness to Experience was found to be related to online sociability
and CMC knowledge. Specifically, a willingness to consider
alternative methods of communication was found to be important
in Facebook use. As expected, higher levels of Openness to Experience
were associated with a greater tendency to be sociable
through Facebook. Considering that those who are high on the trait
of Openness to Experience are more likely to have a wide variety of
interests and a willingness to pursue those interests through unusual
