production plants.
L. monocytogenes were recovered in food contact surfaces of two
meat-processing plants (H and Q) after cleaning and disinfection,
and those isolates demonstrated the same ST as the isolates that
were recovered later from the meat products elaborated in those
plants.
Some isolates (N ¼ 10) from the IRTA collection were recovered
from RTE meat products in different years (from1994 to 2011)were
also submitted to MLST analysis. Among these isolates, six STs were
identified, and all of them were common to the STs described (ST1,
ST3, ST8, ST9 and ST121) in the processing plants (AeR) except for
ST26, which only included one IRTA collection isolate that had been
recovered from a fermented sausage.
