5. Concluding remarks
Through reviewing and rethinking typical cases in the past
years, we have confirmed the role of institution in triggering generation
and expansion of risks of industrial pollution, further,
asserted the necessity of environmental governance from multiple
dimensions as complementarities for the revised China's environmental
law to cope with the predicament in China. Understanding
the causal chain effect is a fundamental precondition to effectively
cure the pollution in China. This paper challenges and extends the
works of Wu et al. (2009) and Tang et al. (2013) by using new evidence,
serving as an interface between theoretical development
and practical improvement, and providing insights for multiple
fields. This theoretical breakthrough reflects deeper causality. It
also deeply explains the concern of Yang (2014) and proposes
corresponding measures. This paper extends a new profile for
environmental pollution research and provides insights into systems
thinking on environmental governance.
