Naptime Paul B Davis and Cory Arcangle, 2004 Naptime is a hacked Nintendo installation that was a shown at the 2004 Whitney Biennial in New York. It ripped a graphic of a sleeping Mario (taken from the end of Super Mario Brothers 3) and replaced Mario’s dream with psychedelic flashing characters while an 8-bit rave track played underneath.
Little Sound DJ Johan Kotlinski, 2003 This is Johan Kotlinski’s Little Sound DJ (LSDJ): a tracker-style music program, which runs on the Nintendo Gameboy. Using a home-brew LSDJ cartridge, music can be written with a Gameboy and played back using the Gameboy’s audio hardware.
