Wat Thamma Thipatai formerly Wat Ton Makham, makes a trip to visit its beautiful door panels a must. The ancient wood panels are constructed of Alangium wood, and measure a massive 1.1 meters by 5.3 meters, were previously hung at Wat Phra Fang.
The elegant lines of the panel designs typify the graceful style of the Ayutthaya period, including the intricate Phum Khao Bin and Kanok Bia Thet patterns. They are considered only second best to the famous Bangkok temple Wat Suthat, also a beautiful sight.
