lachrymans, respectively for compound 4; 83.2 μg mL–1 of
IC50 value to P. lachrymans for compound 7). Compounds 4,
7 and 8 exhibited weak inhibitory activity on spore germination
of Magnaporthe oryzae with 167.5, 197.7 and 105.0 μg
mL–1 of IC50 values, respectively.
2.4. Antioxidant activity
All the compounds were screened for their antioxidant activities.
Among them, only 3-methoxyfuran-2-carboxylic acid (8)
showed moderate antioxidant activity. In the DPPH assay,
the IC50 values of compound 8 and CK+ (BHT) were 131.8
and 28.8 μg mL–1, respectively. In the β-carotene-linoleic
