The educational bodies in Abu Dhabi have made a clear commitment toward reform. It is our hope that efforts to support science education, informed by the data, will make it possible to direct such efforts in meaningful ways. Perhaps both public and private sector schools may consider joining forces to reach their aims of improving science education. School partnerships allow individual schools to share resources in ways that could reduce spending and improve school climate(Barza, 2013). For example, partner schools can identify exemplary science teachers who may mentor and train other teachers across schools. Resources and lesson exemplars could be exchanged as well. As long as the partnerships are committed to the objective of improving science achievement, reflect equitable participation, and are planned effectively,gains would be expected across schools.
