I have the same the Win7 problems after cloning using Acronis True Image Home 2012. I have a Dell Studio XPS 8100 series computer running Win7 Pro (64-bit) that recently started rebooting itself after the initial boot up. Dell’s diagnostic software indicated the drive was failing so I used Acronis to clone a new drive.
Old drive: 1.5 TB, Seagate ST31500341AS, physical sector size = 512 B.
New cloned drive: 2 TB, Seagate ST2000DM001-1CH164, physical sector size = 4 kB.
The old drive came with Intel Rapid Storage Technology (IRST) software the was installed by Dell when the computer was manufactured. This software is also on the cloned drive and the following information is from the IRST system report:
