The Mapúa Special English Language Program (SELP) is designed for employees of multinational corporations and students of foreign schools who aspire to develop and improve their proficiency in the English language. This skill will make them confident and productive in carrying out their work and study goals anywhere in the world, especially in English-speaking nations.
The 192-hour SELP begins with a strong basic English language learning program followed by special workplace English modules that are custom-made to address the needs of each client. Two-thirds of the program (128 hours) is devoted to the basic program, while the remaining one-third (64 hours) is dedicated to an intensive special workplace English module crafted to match the needs of a variety of disciplines and industries such as:

Tourism and Hospitality
Workplace English modules can also be developed for the following industries:

Sessions are held 8 hours a day, 6 days a week, for 4 weeks. Session formats vary according to client preferences. These range from one-to-one, small group (2-6 participants), or class (10 or more participants) formats.
The SELP covers skills such as handling telephone calls, participating in group discussions, conducting meetings, negotiating, resolving problems, reporting, and e-mailing.
Entry and Exit assessments are conducted to monitor the development of the students. Participants who complete the SELP program are awarded a Certificate of Completion.
