It has been developed an entrepreneurial empowerment process where some native potato producers’ associations have participated as part of the Platform of CAPAC (Quality Agricultural Chains) chaired by FOVIDA.

There are some groups of producers who have participated in projects by NGOs such as CARITAS, developer in organic certification issues.

Some potato producers associations are certified organic green based on their ecological practices under the American and European regulations. Others have successfully processed the native potato and export it to the European market. These accomplishments show the potential and experience already collected by these producers that may be multipliers of experience.
The native potatoes grown in some districts of Huancavelica have two important distinctions: the German certificate BCS ÖKO by natural process that meets high international standards for marketing, and the Golden Archer Award, awarded by the Royal Belgian Committee for quality and well received by consumers in France and Belgium. These distinctions allow access to best possible price in the international markets.
Associations have indirect experience to export through the subsidiary of Pepsico International in Peru, in terms of snack products.
