Also,
the amp gene of HP had 99.9 % identity with RhY and
SWB, while it had only 96.0 % identity with MYD-AnH,
91.0 % identity with OY-M and 50.5 % identity with JHP.
These results, combined with those obtained from the secY
sequence analysis, demonstrated that HP was more closely
related to the Japanese RhY strain that infects a nonhydrangea
plant, R. javanica, than to the previously
reported foreign ‘Ca. P. asteris’ strains infecting hydrangea
such as HYPh and HYDP.
