were detected most frequently and accounted for 40.53% of the 380
AFT-positive samples. Only aflatoxin B1 was detected considerably
frequently in 112 samples (4 samples in Liaoning Province, 86
samples in Henan Province, 11 samples in Sichuan Province, and 11
samples in Guangdong Province), which accounted for 29.47% of
AFT-positive samples. All the AFT-positive samples contained AFB1
except 16 samples contained only AFB2 (6 samples in Liaoning
Province and 10 samples in Guangdong Province). Aflatoxin G1 or
G2 was not separately detected in all the samples. This revealed that
AFB1 and/or AFB2 could be detected if AFG1 or AFG2was detected.
Among the aflatoxin-positive samples, aflatoxin B1 had the highest
frequency of detection, followed by aflatoxin B2, aflatoxin G2, and
aflatoxin G1.
The conclusion is consistent with Yu's that G group toxins are
unlikely to be produced without B group toxins, based on current
understanding of the aflatoxin biosynthetic pathway of the known
