The maximum fruit length diameter ratio 2 which was
significantly differ from all other treatments that obtained from
treatment T6, NAA@50ppm which was at par with treatment
T7(1.72). Minimum of this trait was obtained in the control and
IAA@100ppm. Recently, molecular analyses have confirmed
the prominent role played by auxin signaling in triggering and
coordinating the transition from flower to fruit. The growth of
the ovary is blocked before pollination and that auxin is
involved in derepression of ovary growth after fertilization
(Pandolfini, 2007). So fruit size increases with exogenous
application of NAA with a particular concentration. This result
is similar with Kumar et al 2011, Khunte et al, 2014.
