The presence of a high salt content could be considered incon-venient in using leachate as fertilizer. However, many of the com-mercial fertilizers nowadays used in agriculture, such as the one used in this work, have also the same problem. An adequate dosage of these products can greatly minimize the aforementioned salt effect. Therefore, an optimization of the dose and the subsequent study on the effect of this dosage on cultivated plant growth are considered essential for the possible use of compost leachate in agriculture.
