Leadership Styles/Techniques
“Synergy –the bonus that is achieved when things work together harmoniously” –Mark Twain
Leadership styles are the foundation of interpersonal relationships in an organization and
involve how managers exercise authority through different leadership behaviors. This article only
looks at three different types of leadership styles or techniques--transactional, transformational, and
laissez-faire. Style is associated with the manner and approach a leader or manager uses to provide
employee direction, implement a plan, and motivate subordinates.
