All data were analyzed as a randomized complete
block design using the MIXED procedure of SAS with
pen as the experimental unit and BW as the blocking
factor. Polynomial regression was used to define the
shape of the response to increasing concentration of
cracked corn in the diets. Hot carcass weight was used
as a covariate for analyses of carcass characteristics.
All stomach morphology data were analyzed as a completely
randomized design using the FREQ procedure
of SAS with pen as the experimental unit.
