TEMPERATURE
Plant temperature is affected by radiation energy
transfer, convective heat transfer, and evaporation
from the plant surface. The relationship between
plant growth and temperature is complex because it
is a factor in the reaction rates of various metabolic
processes. Greenhouse crops are grown at specified
night temperatures with a daytime minimum
increase of from 10–15°F. Recommended night
temperatures for several greenhouse crops are given
in Appendix XI.
