Description:
The Associate Director's main responsibilities are to support the Director of Student Account Operations with all various special and sponsored billing and collection functions related to student, sponsor, and special program receivables and to enhance the support functions associated with the university’s long range goal of offering additional special programs. The goal is to contribute to the overall office performance including but not limited to the quality of service provided to students/parents/third party payee/other university units and the timely and accuracy of the billing and collections of student receivables. The Associate Director supervises the preparation and input of accounting transactions posted to the Accounts Receivable (AR) Colleague computer system. This position audits and ensures that transactions are timely and accurately processed to meet billing deadlines.
This position reports to the Director of Student Account Operations. The Associate Director supervises 1 full-time Senior Receivables and Special Programs Specialist, 1 full-time Receivables and Special Programs Specialist, and 1 part-time Student Accounts Office Assistant. The Associate Director coordinates and schedules front-line staff’s office coverage and ensures that receivable staff is adequately trained to properly maintain and respond to inquiries associated with all billing and collecting procedures.
Educational Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in business or accounting
