Severity of hearing loss was distributed as follows: 1 child with mild, 5 with moderate, 6 with severe, and 5 with profound hearing losses. Ten children used hearing aids, and 7 had received cochlear implants at the time of the interview. All 17 parents reported having postsecondary education.
