The most significant organizational changes in this edition are the addition of a chapter on nontest evaluation methods and the deletion of the chapters on personality measures and recent developments. Chapter 14, Nontest and Informal Evaluation Meathods, describes the development and use of observation schedules, checklists, rating forms, questionnaires, and a variety of oral questioning techniques. This chapter was added in recognition of the significance of these methods in everyday classroom assessment and in an attempt to draw greater attention to the need to obtain high-quality information when these procedures are used.
