HTML5 FROM A MULTIMODAL
LEARNING ANALYTICS PERSPECTIVE
Several authors have mentioned the high potential of HTML5
from the point of view of MMLA [5]. However, none of them
detailed what the benefits of using the new features offered by this
standard are. Despite having divided the analysis of the new
HTML5 APIs in different scopes (see Table 1 for
Mobile/Ubiquitous Learning Analytics, see Table 2 for dealing
with multimedia streams for MMLA, see Table 3 for logging finegrained
user interactions), all of them should be combined in
learning applications that need to log, store and process learning
activities.
