Oxoid) for working bacterial suspensions of approximately 108 cfu/mL.
Eight different inocula (A to H) were prepared by mixing 0.5 mL of a
pathogenic and 0.5 mL of a spoilage working bacteria suspensions
with 499 mL of PW to yield about 105 cfu/mL. These were as follows:
(A) L. monocytogenes+B. thermosphacta; (B) S. aureus+B. thermosphacta;
(C) S. enterica+B. thermosphacta; (D) E. coli+B. thermosphacta;
(E) L. monocytogenes+P. fluorescens; (F) S. aureus+P. fluorescens;
(G) S. enterica+P. fluorescens; and (H) E. coli+P. fluorescens.
