As Scott et al. (2008, p. 967) asserted,
‘‘existing research predominantly considers the simple main
effects of the relationship between pay-related variables and
outcomes’’. Little is known about how PFP perception is linked to
work attitudes. To address this call for further research and
drawing on P–O fit literature, this study examines how PFP
perceptions foster employee–organization value congruence and
in turn affect work attitudes
