The analyses of capsaicinoids were performed by HPLC-DAD (Agilent 1200, Agilent Technologies Palo Alto, CA,USA) employing a reversed phase column Kromasil Eternity-5-C18 (4.6 × 150 mm) with Precolumn (SUPELCO Analytical, Sigma-Aldrich) at 25∘C. Elution was performed with an isocratic mixture of water : acetonitrile 50 : 50.
