NSAIDs
NSAIDs are typically prescribed to control pain and inflammation in the RA patient.[3,4] These drugs do not affect disease progression and are not be used for this goal.[3,4] To get the greatest benefit from NSAID therapy, the medication should be taken on a regular basis, and an adequate trial period should be given before considering a switch to a different medication. The ACRSRA recommends that NSAIDs be prescribed in the lowest dose that provides symptom relief and the dose reduced when a good response to DMARDs is achieved
