A method for the determination of parabens, MeP, EtP, iPrP, PrP,
BzP and BuP, in environmental solid samples, such as soil and sediments,
based on sonication-assisted extraction in small columns
followed by LC–MS/MS has been developed.
The use of ultrasonic extraction followed by LC–MS/MS provides
low LOQs and therefore this procedure is useful for the determination
of parabens in soil and sediments at trace levels.
The proposed method has been properly validated, and the
suitability of the procedures for analysis of parabens in soil and
sediment has been shown.
