Ambrosia beetles (Coleoptera: Curculionidae: Scolytinae and Platypodinae) have been known as decomposers in the ecosystem. However, recently some ambrosia beetles have started to attack apparently healthy trees and kill them. It is important to accumulate information on host range of ambrosia beetles. In this study, similarity in ambrosia beetle communities among tree species belonging to the families Fagaceae and Leguminosae were compared.
