The BRC standard defines protective clothing as "Clothing designed to protect the product from potential contamination by the wearer". What are the thoughts on the high visibility vests that are worn as personnel safety clothing (i.e. not to protect the product).
With regards to BRC, this wouldn't be classed as protective clothing, therefore the need to remove before smoking, going to toilet, eating would not be relevant.
Our product is classed as Enclosed Product with some Low Risk areas so the need for clothing to protect the product is not required.
I would appreciate any other thoughts on this please. Thanks!
