Dear Oratip, Singtoe,
Please find attached the complete list of specimens we have seen in Hat Yai. Also are marked which specimens I have taken to Leiden for comparison under label. Altogether 27 species, several of them of which the DNA has not been examined by you before. You can see on this list which species are the best candidates for extraction. If I remember correctly we already selected those tubes for you.
The number of species will probably not change anymore, but some identifications are a bit problematic and need further study. These are crassicollis, phanaeides, borneensis, bbb and ccc. I will let you know when I change the names, but there will always be some mysteries left….
As expected most of your species are also found in Peninsular Malaysia, but a few are not. Most interesting for me was O. maniti, a Northern Thai species I had never seen before.
My administration was a little bit chaotic so do check if the species identifications match with the DNA! I am missing the locality data for a few records. These are marked yellow in the spreadsheet . Could you please let me know the missing data?
The specimens marked bulk collection were the last we examined and stored in larger jars.
If there are any questions about the spreadsheet please do not hesitate to ask!
Best wishes,
