Let’s start off with my name; my name is Jan Paolo R. Aguila, born on the 27th of December 1994. I am currently a freshman in the University of the Philippines Diliman with the course BS Economics. I am, at the time, 16 years old, wishing that I were already 18. My motto is “Life is hard, but it’s up to YOU to make it easy.”
I am a very talkative and jolly person; I can’t survive an hour of being still. Whenever I have something to say, I don’t just keep it to myself, I tell everyone what I think and I expect them to respect my opinions as an individual. I live by the Golden Rule – I do not do unto others what I do not want others to do unto me. I only respect people who I think deserve my respect and have earned it. I also am a music lover; I used to play for a band.
I have special interests that make me unique. One of them would be my enthusiasm when it comes to cars. I just LOVE cars. My parents told me when I was just 4 and my dad just got our first car, he brought me inside the car and was shocked that I knew where the accelerator and brake pedals were. They said I had a natural instinct when it comes to cars. Up until now, I still have this deep love of cars, and I am the one who takes care of all of our 4 cars.
I also love animals. I can’t survive without a pet at all. I want accompaniment and something or someone to play with all the time. When I was a kid, we had 2 dogs as pets. Unfortunately, I had a terrible case of asthma back then that I always had attacks because of their fur. We also tried having an Iguana for a pet, but it was just too boring for me, so I asked my parents to find me another pet. My parents then bought me a Mynah Bird. It was just an infant when I got it. I even taught it how to talk as it grew up. I loved that bird. Sadly, I had to sell it because of my younger sister’s skin asthma. So, I thought about more domesticated pets like hamsters. I bought three hamsters at first and I found them adorable and interesting, so I bred them. I stuck with pet hamsters from that point onwards; now, I have 15 beloved pet hamsters.
I hope this little essay has given you a brief idea of who I am that is enough to make myself seem interesting; enough to make you interested to know me more. I guess 500 words are less than enough to tell you all the things I know about myself. Now, it’s up to you to discover who I really am.
