As we look back at the implementation of the model and our experiences since the original JONA article, the following points are key: 1. Stay true to guiding principles. 2. Communicate, communicate, and communicate, in an ongoing manner using a variety of methods. 3. Continue to assess satisfaction through surveys and focus groups. 4. Stay consistent with decision making. 5. Be open to making changes to the model (eg.MSN level) and to individual work units, as their schedules/needs change 6. Maintain the RN salary task force group as a sounding board" for decisions related to changes and to analyze and report impact to senior leaders.
