The best answer is it depends (but probably not). Which company are you working for? Where in the world are you based? What type of products and chemicals are you working on? What role are you in (Design? Operator?)
In general - if you are a professional engineer, not at all. If you're a contractor that is physically building and maintaining a plant then MAYBE for a bad company, but a good company will never risk anyone's safety.
The safety culture is ridiculously safe - I work in an office. I have never seen ANY office this safe. These are some exampls:
We have "Change your habits, hold the railing" signs on stairs.
We have a safety meeting EVERY WEEK, discussing various topics from electrical safety in control systems to getting home safely to poisionous creates.
We have general safety signs around the office including things like "cough into a tissue".
We get emails everytime anyone gets hurt (it might be a coffee burn), describing "what we learnt".
Formal safety training sessions.
A range of other things
To reiterate - this is in an office.
