Twenty-six male adult redclaws ranging from 80.5 to 128.4 g in body weight (BW) and
18.6 to 23.4 cm in total carapace length were used. These animals were obtained from the
Walkamin Freshwater Fisheries and Aquaculture Centre, Queensland, and reared in the
Animal House of Flinders University. All animals were fed with dry pellets twice a day
during the study period.
