The different colors will apply differently in terms of blending easily vs chunky effect, and personally I wanted a chunky glitter effect. The first I bought was metallic lavender, which was not purple enough for me, too sheer and light and if you want subtle this one is gorgeous. I then tried metallic dusty rose and again too subtle and sheer for my taste along with the purchase price. I have similar shades from another company and I traded in for comex copper which is very neutral but shiny and very chunky texture. Perfect for something special and goes well with steampunk style. Loved some of the other shades but wouldn't wear with my green/ blue eyes. I stick to pink, peach, purple and bronzy shades so I'm excited to try the new spring colors. I also LOVE the how to guides supplied with the testers and think that is a great detail from Stila. I do think these are a bit more expensive than other metallic pigments, but you are also getting a mixing tray and primer. I've played with the new metal liners and think they are great for everyday wear and for someone who isn't into wearing glitter on the whole lid. Keep innovating stila! And so glad more colors were added.
