1.Monitor, inspect, adjust, and control all power production, auxiliary, and facility equipment to assure safe, legal, continuous, and efficient operation, keeping plant emissions and effluents within limits. Taking action necessary to prevent any environment or production excursions.
2.Continually check all phases of the operation for difficulties or irregularities, troubleshooting as necessary.
3.Reporting discrepancies in operation and / or conditions in a timely manner to the Operation Manager.
4.Maintain optimum level of operation and energy production.
5.Provide general directions to subordinate classifications.
6.Direct and train others in the inspection and operation of the facility. Assist in the training of the local operators.
7.Represents Plant Management, helping to clarify and enforce plant policies.
8.Communicate effectively and accurately using both oral and written methods of communication.
9.Maintain logs, and various reports.
10.Issue work permit and maintain lock-out tag-out, confined space entry, and welding permit, status logs books.
11.Perform assigned tasks in the analysis and production of all power plant product. Take necessary action to maintain the systems within prescribed limited.
12.Look for ways to improve the plant’s efficiency.
13.Keep control room, and work areas clean at all time.
14.Perform tidy up as needed.
15.Strive to improve knowledge of this plant and power plants in general.
16.Perform other duties as assigned.
17.Responsible for the assigned environmental procedures.
