3.3. Effect of initial dye concentration on the RB181 decolorization
It is important from an application point of view to study the
dependence of removal on the initial concentration of dye [4]. The
decolorization of RB181 with initial concentration varying from
50 to 250 mg L1. Fig. 5 shows that the results obtained from
investigation effect of various initial dye concentrations on the
photochemical decolorization of RB181. It can be seen that
photooxidation efficiency decreased as initial dye concentration
increased [4,22,42]. At high concentrations, the penetration of
photons entering in to the solution decreases, so that an inner
filter
effect is induced and hence the solution becomes more and more
impermeable to UV radiation [4,22].
