In a similar way, K ,i decreases with temperature for all the reactions.
In reactions where water participates (R1, bimolec- ular dehydration of 1-butanol to di-n-butyl ether, and R7–R9, hydration of olefins to 2-butanol) the values of K ,i are sig- nificantly different from unity showing the non-ideality of the mixture.
On the other hand, the values of K ,i corresponding to olefins isomerization (R4–R6) are very close to unity. In these reactions only olefins are involved which have very similar activity coefficients.
