The current study expanded these studies and examined the feasibility, logistics, and health outcomes of implementing the 5-2-1-0 program with school-based health coaching delivered by senior nursing students to 4–5th grade elementary school students. The project specific aims were to: (1) create a community partnership between the private health sector, public health, public school, and two schools of nursing to explore an innovative childhood obesity prevention strategy delivered in the school setting; and (2) compare a healthy habits classroom program
(control group) to the healthy habits classroom program plus 1:1 coaching delivered by nursing students (intervention group) on outcomes of physical activity levels,screen time and nutrition patterns among 4–5th grade children.
