Maximum shell length 8.5 cm. commonly to 7.5 cm. Half-buried in muddy fine to medium sand bottoms, with abundant fragmental shell material, and subject to the effects of currents and wave action. Littoral and sublittoral to a depth of 50 m. Artisanal exploitation in Thailand.
