Eligibility
Your eligibility for the Global Shipping Program:
You must have a US seller rating of standard or above.
You're responsible for your compliance with all applicable laws and regulations under the eBay User Agreement.
Your item's eligibility for the Global Shipping Program:
The item must be physically located in the US.
The item must be listed for sale on eBay.com.
The item must be listed in a category that is supported by the Global Shipping Program.
PayPal must be included as an accepted payment method in the listing.
The delivery address must be a residence or street address, not a P.O. Box, FPO or APO address. (Exception: P.O. Box addresses in Canada are fine.)
The package must not weigh more than 66 lbs.
The package must not exceed 66 inches in length.
The package must not exceed the maximum dimensions of 118 inches.
Dimensions = length + girth (the length of a string wrapped around the 2 smaller sides)
The package must not exceed the maximum dimensional (DIM) weight of 66 lbs. Dimensional weight = (length x width x height) / (dimensional factor) where the dimensional factor = 166.
An item's sale price, excluding shipping and handling, must not be more than:
$500 when shipping to the Philippines
$1,000 when shipping to Mexico
$1,350 when shipping to Russia
$2,500 when shipping to all other countries
If an auction-style listing ends with a final sale price, excluding shipping and handling, of more than the maximum allowed for the country to which you're shipping, you're responsible for arranging alternate international shipping, and compliance with applicable US export rules, regulations, and procedures.
Auction-style listings, with or without a Buy It Now option, aren’t eligible for shipment to Russia through the Global Shipping Program. For these types of listings, you're responsible for arranging alternate international shipping, and compliance with applicable US export rules, regulations, and procedures.
The item must not be ineligible, illegal, hazardous, subject to export restrictions, prohibited by eBay, or prohibited by the Global Shipping Program. See the eBay User Agreement and the Global Shipping Program policies and FAQs for complete details.
As a seller, you don't need to determine if your items are eligible for the Global Shipping Program. Eligible items are automatically shown to buyers in eligible countries.
You can find any listings eligible for the Global Shipping Program in My eBay > Activity > Active Selling.
Shipping exclusions
Any shipping exclusions that you create apply to your Global Shipping Program eligible listings, too.
If you'd like the Global Shipping Program to override your shipping exclusions for eligible listings, you can set that up in My eBay.
To override shipping exclusions on all listings:
Go to My eBay.
Click the Account tab, and then click Site Preferences.
In the Selling Preferences section, scroll to Shipping preferences, and then click the Show link.
Click the Edit link next to Exclude shipping locations from your listings.
Select the states, territories, countries or regions you don't want to ship to. You can exclude entire continents or select Show all countries, and then select the specific countries you don't want to ship to.
Click the Apply button to save your shipping exclusions.
In the Global Shipping Program settings section, select the Override my shipping exclusions for Global Shipping Program eligible items check box.
Important: When you select this check box and list an item with the Global Shipping Program, any shipping exclusions you've previously set up are overridden when they are eligible for sale through the Global Shipping program.
For example, if you select this check box, when you sell an item through the Global Shipping Program, the item can still be purchased and shipped to buyers in Canada even if you've previously set up Canada as a shipping exclusion.
To individually manage shipping exclusions—including exclusions for items sold though the Global Shipping Program—clear the Override my shipping exclusions for Global Shipping Program eligible items check box and set up shipping exclusions directly in each listing.
To manage shipping exclusions on an individual listing:
Be sure that you have cleared the Override my shipping exclusions for Global Shipping Program eligible items check box in My eBay.
In the listing form, go to the Add shipping details section.
Scroll to the International shipping section, and then select the Send it to the US shipping center, and the rest will be taken care of for you check box. If you're unable to select the check box, the listing category is not eligible for the Global Shipping Program.
Click the Create exclusion list link to create shipping exclusions for this listing, or, if you already have exclusions, click the Edit exclusion list link to make changes.
Select the regions or countries you want to exclude.
Click Apply to save the exclusions for this listing.
Shipping and tracking an item
When you create a shipping label on eBay, tracking information is automatically uploaded to My eBay. If you don't use our shipping label, be sure to add a tracking number. Once you print a shipping label or upload the tracking number, we generate a global tracking number for you. This global tracking number appears in My eBay and on the Order details page and allows you to track the package from the time you ship it to the time it reaches your buyer.
Note: With the exception of shipments to Canada, delivery to P.O. Boxes is not supported by the Global Shipping Program. Shipments to APO or FPO addresses are also not supported.
When you upload tracking information, we notify the buyer by email that the item has shipped and we include the global tracking number. The global tracking number is also visible to the buyer on the Order details page and in My eBay.
Important things to keep in mind:
If you have your own system that sends tracking information to buyers, be sure to send only the global tracking number to avoid confusing buyers.
If you create your own shipping label, include a reference number. You can find the reference number on the Order details page along with the buyer's name and the address of the US shipping center.
If you purchase USPS insurance, it protects you only against any loss or damage to the package until it reaches the US shipping center. ShipCover insurance isn't available for Global Shipping Program shipments to the US shipping center.
If you purchase signature confirmation when you ship your item, you receive a signature confirmation when the item is received at the US shipping center, not when it is received by the buyer.
Although you're responsible for getting the package safely to the US shipping center, in general you won't be responsible if the item is damaged or lost during international shipping. For additional information, see the Global Shipping Program policies and FAQs. Undeliverable items may not be returned to you.
